El pasado diciembre, entre cierres de comercios y apertura
de los mismo, dependiendo del Defcon 3 ó 4 en el que nos encontramos con la
Pandemia de la Covid-19, nos pudimos ver las mascarillas (por que las caras, no)
y echar una buena partida de 2GM.
Last December, between business closings and opening
of the same, depending on the Defcon 3 or 4 in which we encountered the
Covid-19 Pandemic, we could see the masks (because the faces, no) and take a
good game of 2GM.
La mesa es una random, en la que se coloca bastante
escenografía y después elegimos el lado a desplegar.
The table is a random one, in which a lot of scenery
is placed and then we choose the side to be displayed.
En esta ocasión y para poder realizar algo más que una
partida “de choque de trenes”, hemos desplegado por los lados cortos, de 120cm,
por lo que teníamos 180cm de largo para movernos.
Objetivo: tomar el cruce.
On this occasion and to be able to do something more
than a “train crash” game, we have deployed 120cm on the short sides, so we had
180cm long to move.
Objective: take the
crossing.
Los alemanes en su primer turno consiguen dar las
suficientes órdenes como para plantarse en el mismo cruce.
The Germans on their first turn manage to give enough
orders to stand at the same intersection.
Y sus tropas cubrir todo el perímetro de la población, por
la zona más cercana a su zona de despliegue.
And his troops cover the entire perimeter of the
population, in the area closest to their deployment area.
Colocando sus blindados por nuestro flanco izquierdo, para
evitar un posible movimiento evolvente.
Placing their armor on our left flank, to avoid a
possible enveloping movement.
El despliegue americano es muy simple.
The American deployment is very simple.
Los tanques consiguen avanzar, aunque muy poco, quedándose
al descubierto y a medio camino de cualquier parte (uy!, vaya novedad!!)
The tanks manage to advance, although very little,
remaining in the open and halfway anywhere (oh, what a novelty !!)
Los morteros se posicionan en el mismo punto de su
despliegue y el CO, se sitúa en la colina cercana, para hacer de FAO de estos.
The mortars are positioned at the same point of their
deployment and the CO, is located on the nearby hill, to act as FAO of these.
La infantería también avanza, pero también, para variar, muy
poco.
The infantry also advances, but also, for a change,
very little.
Al quedar prácticamente todas las tropas USA al descubierto,
los alemanes no pierden el tiempo y consiguen de forma inmediata la primera
baja.
With practically all the US troops exposed, the
Germans waste no time and immediately get the first casualty.
El avance alemán, algo más frenado, consigue tomar todo el
pueblo que hay en el cruce.
The German advance, somewhat slower, manages to take
the entire town at the crossroads.
Incluso avanzan por los flancos para evitar que pueda
avanzar abiertamente hacia el cruce.
They even advance on the flanks to prevent it from
advancing openly towards the crossing.
La infantería aprovecha cualquier orografía para cubrirse
del fuego de los morteros.
The infantry takes advantage of any orography to take
cover from the mortar fire.
Nuestro flanco izquierdo es reforzado por más de sus
blindados.
Our left flank is reinforced by more of their armor.
Incluso su Reccon consigue llegar hasta descubrir las
posiciones de la infantería, cosa que nos perjudicará para sus disparos con su
artillería.
Even his Reccon manages to get to discover the
positions of the infantry, which will harm us for his shots with his artillery.
Pero por fin mis blindado consiguen salir del matadero donde
se encontraban y se posicionan a la entrada del pueblo.
But finally my armor managed to get out of the
slaughterhouse where they were and position themselves at the entrance of the
town.
Y la infantería maniobra para evitar a los blindados alemanes
que esperan en el flanco izquierdo.
And the infantry maneuvers to avoid the German armor
waiting on the left flank.
Los Sherman consiguen ir colocándose de forma estratégica
para que los Panzer no consigan tenerlos a tiro.
The Shermans manage to position themselves
strategically so that the Panzers do not get to have them within range.
Esto se traduce en que el Reccon alemán, es alcanzado por el
Sherman de 76mm.
This translates into the German Reccon being hit by
the 76mm Sherman.
Al final, entre las risas e ir saludando a un montón de
compañeros del club y amigos que venían a saludarnos, no conseguimos pasar del
3er turno.
Una buena tarde de reencontrarnos con amigos y conocidos, y
de toma de contacto con el reglamento (y la ambientación), después de meses de
estar en clausura.
In the end, between the laughs and waving to a lot of
clubmates and friends who came to greet us, we couldn't get past the 3rd shift.
A good afternoon to meet again with friends and
acquaintances, and to make contact with the regulations (and the setting),
after months of being in the closure.
