El pasado 18 de mayo, se celebró el 10º DBMM Games Day 2019 de Cataluña, organizada por el Club RECS de Gavà, la agrupación Magiste Militum Ibéricus de Barcelona y el club +1 al Dau de Barcelona, con la colaboración de Starship Games, VIIII Legión de Barcelona y el club Rubicon de l’Hospitalet de Llobregat, en los locales de la tienda colaboradora, Starship Games.

El ambiente fue formidable este año, ya que la participación fue amplia y llenamos los locales de la tienda Starship Games.

El coordinador de la organización del evento, David Cantó, estuvo llevando, como cada año, una mesa para enseñar a jugar a DBMM, a todo el que quisiera acercarse a conocer que es el juego.

Y Carlos, del club Rubicon, lo mismo pero con DBA.

Y como no, allí estaba Burt para jugar la partida grande.

En esta ocasión llevaba el ejército romano.

Los romanos empezaron con inferioridad numérica.

En las guerras no se suele pactar el número de tropas que se trae cada general, sino que se combate con lo que se tiene.

Pero no por eso estábamos en desventaja.

And of course, there was Burt to play the big game.

Tras los primeros turnos, los romanos del flanco izquierdo, consiguen frenar el avance de los celtas, evitando un flanqueo que hubiese sido devastador.

Las caballerías de ambos ejército, tuvieron el choque en el flanco derecho, no quedando en ningún momento claro quien era el que lo dominaba.

Al final el flanco izquierdo resistió el embiste de las unidades celtas, aunque quedó desbordad por el número de unidades que entraban aunque, afortunadamente, muy disgregadas en pequeños grupos que eran difícilmente coordinables.

Y el centro, nuestro bloque más fuerte aguanto muy bien, el embiste de las Warband, llegando los celtas a quedar a 1 punto de quedar desmoralizados.

Pero cosas de los dados, en el turno de los celtas, nos hicieron 9 bajas en ese bloque, por lo que no sólo consiguieron desmoralizarlos, sino que llegaron justo a los puntos necesarios para que dar rota la el grupo de ese general.

Y fin de la partida.

Los romanos perdieron por el empuje de la warband.

Nota Mental: Debo recordar no poner dos filas juntas al combate de Blades, que mueren de dos en profundidad al enfrentarse a la warband.

La última partida del año 2018, y que mejor que una de Dbmm, y en los locales del club, +1 Al Dau, con otros compañeros jugando otras partidas.

Una buena partida a 100 ptos, sencilla rápida pero con casi todos los elementos necesarios para una muy buena partida.

Los romanos desplegaron en una tradicional línea con los legionarios en el centro, auxilias a un flanco y caballería en el otro flanco.

Los Íberos desplegaron algo más diferentes, ya que en un lado de la montaña (en la foto casi no se ven, en el margen superior derecho), la caballería apoyados por psilois, y en el centro, confrontados a la línea romana, los Scutarii en un bloque central, flanqueados por los Caetrati en el flanco izquierdo y los honderos baleares en el flanco derecho. Y más al extremo, la caballería ligera, presta para realizar marchas rápidas y envolver a los romanos.

Y en el siguiente turno, llego a la rotura del ejército, no consiguiendo hacerme, en esos dos turnos, ese medio punto que tanto necesitaban ellos para ganar la partida.

Los romanos no arriesgaron y fueron a lo fácil y tradicional, a la par de efectivo, mientras que los íberos desplegamos de forma diferente y arriesgaron en todo momento.

Y la media de las tiradas de dados siempre estuvieron por encima del 3, tanto en los combates como en los Pip’s de mando.

Vuelvo con una nueva partida que se realizó también en las Barcino Colonia Romae del año 2014, entre legiones romanas e Íberos.
