Rusia 1944. Bragation operation

Los alemanes avanzan sin freno hacia el este.

Estamos en el verano de 1944 y los soviéticos empiezan a empujar a los alemanes hacia el oeste.

Una ofensiva que más que táctica fue por exceso de tropas soviéticas. Una masa militar sin fin empujando a la maquinaria tecnológica germana, algo que ya se demostró desde la invasión de Napoleón en Rusia.

The Germans move without brake to the east.

We are in the summer of 1944 and the Soviets start pushing the Germans west.

An offensive that more than tactics was for excess of Soviet troops. An endless military mass pushing the German technological machinery, something that has already been demonstrated since the invasion of Napoleon in Russia.

La partida era bien sencilla.

Por un lado la misión de los alemanes era reconquistar una pequeña población, y la de los soviets, rebasar las tropas alemanas y avanzar.

Ninguno de los dos jugadores sabía la misión del otro. Y esto hacía muy interesante la partida, ya que uno intentaba atravesar el tablero por el pueblo, y el otro no tenía intención de dejar a los soviéticos que entraran en la población.

The game was very simple.

On the one hand the mission of the Germans was to reconquer a small population, and that of the Soviets, to surpass the German troops and advance.

Neither player knew the other's mission. And this made the game very interesting, as one tried to cross the board through the town, and the other had no intention of leaving the Soviets to enter the town.

Los alemanes se distribuyeron cerca de la población, tomando la elevación cercana, al oeste de la misma.

The Germans were distributed near the population, taking the nearby elevation, west of the town.

Y las tropas entrando al pueblo.

And the troops entering the town through the west entrance.

Mientras tanto, los soviéticos, sabedores de la importancia del movimiento en masa, aprovechan la carretera para avanzar más rápido.

Meanwhile, the Soviets, aware of the importance of mass movement, take advantage of the road to move faster.

Los alemanes consiguen colocar dentro del pueblo uno de sus panzer, para frenar el avance de la marea ocre que les viene por el este.

The Germans manage to place one of their panzer inside the town, to stop the advance of the ocher tide that comes to them from the east.

Pero con la incontable cantidad de tanques que llevan los bolcheviques, ese tanque cae rápidamente en llamas.

But with the countless number of tanks carried by the Bolsheviks, that tank quickly falls into flames.

Mientras tanto, la infantería alemana, en previsión de la marea soviética, rodea la población para proteger la entrada este.

Meanwhile, the German infantry, in anticipation of the Soviet tide, surrounds the population to protect the east entrance.

Los rusos, después de eliminar al tanque alemán, inicia un acercamiento masivo de los blindados, pero sin la rapidez inicial, sino con cierta cautela.

The Russians, after eliminating the German tank, began a massive approach to the armored vehicles, but without the initial speed, but with some caution.

Esperando que la infantería les pueda alcanzar.

Hoping the infantry can reach them.

Ante esta masa de blindados, los alemanes disparan sobre ella, por lo que los primeros blindados T-70 caen fácilmente.

Faced with this mass of armored vehicles, the Germans fire on it, so that the first T-70 armored vehicles fall easily.

Los blindados soviéticos se dispersan rápidamente y se posicionan para poder impactar al contrario, pero ofreciendo el mínimo de blanco óptimo.

Para ello, el jugador ruso estuvo usando el puntero láser de forma constante.

Soviet armor disperses rapidly and positions itself to impact on the contrary, but offering the minimum of optimum target.

For this, the Russian player was using the laser pointer constantly.

La partida no avanza más de esa posición, ya que el tiempo se nos ha tirado encima y debemos terminar.

Al final los soviéticos terminaron dentro de la población, cosa que sin saberlo anuló la posibilidad de triunfo del alemán, pero tampoco avanzó más allá de este punto, ya que el alemán quería tomar la población, pero para sacar a los soviéticos, se interpuso en el camino de salida de estos, por lo que también negó la posibilidad de  triunfo de los bolcheviques.

The game does not advance more than that position, since time has been thrown on us and we must finish.

In the end the Soviets ended up within the population, which unknowingly annulled the possibility of triumph of the German, but neither advanced beyond this point, since the German wanted to take the population, but to get the Soviets out, he got in the way out of these, so he also denied the possibility of triumph of the Bolsheviks.

Interesante partida para que los jugadores (y yo mismo) aprendiésemos unas reglas que hasta ahora no se habían aplicado.

North Africa, 1941

Nueva partida de Blitzkrieg Comander v. 2 a 15mm, esta vez norte de África a partir de mayo del 41, cuando los alemanes van dirección Tobruk, puerto estratégico para los alemanes.

Mesa de juego de 120x120cm, con suficiente escenografía para poder realizar maniobras en condiciones.

New game of Blitzkrieg Comander v. 2 to 15mm, this time North Africa from May 41, when the Germans go to Tobruk, a strategic port for the Germans.

Por un lado despliegan los alemanes, con el objetivo de alcanzar todas las edificaciones de la zona.

On the one hand the Germans display, with the aim of reaching all the buildings in the area.

Y por el otro lado, los británicos, con el objetivo de no ceder terreno.

And on the other hand, the British, with the aim of not giving ground.

Los británicos inician el movimiento, pero protegiéndose con la orografía del terreno.

Los alemanes empiezan tomando las primeras edificaciones.

The Germans begin by taking the first buildings.

Intentando avanzar las tropas a pie por el Hammadi.

Trying to advance the troops on foot through the Hammadi.

Mientras los británicos, siguen posicionándose.

While the British continue to position themselves.

Intentado flanquear a tropas alemanas.

Attempted to flank German troops.

Pero ocultos a los disparos de los Panzer.

But hidden from the Panzer shots.

Por su lado, los alemanes inician un movimiento de avance en punta invertida por el centro.

On the other hand, the Germans began a movement of advance in tip inverted by the center.

Pero tomando el primer grupo de edificios como centro de la operación.

But taking the first group of buildings as the center of the operation.

Y sus tropas avanzando por los laterales, a modo de mordaza.

Una vez afianzado el grupo de casas, los blindados inician el avance por los laterales.

Y aun así, los alemanes consiguen coger por sorpresa a los recon británicos.

Por lo que el avance alemán no es tan lento como al británico le hubiese gustado.

So the German advance is not as slow as the British would have liked.

Aunque los Cruiser no son rival para los Panzer, a distancias medias, consiguen eliminar a unos cuantos de ellos.

Although the Cruiser are no match for the Panzer, at medium distances, they manage to eliminate a few of them.

Y las tropas de infantería se atreven a tomar al asalto las posiciones alemanas.

And the infantry troops dare to take German positions to assault.

Pero los alemanes no se achantan con ello.

Teniendo la posición del conjunto de edificios bien asegurada, inician un ataque contra los inferiores Cuiser, consiguiendo eliminar de un golpe a 4 de ellos.

But the Germans do not accuse themselves with it.

Having the position of the set of buildings well secured, they initiate an attack against the inferior Cuiser, managing to eliminate 4 of them at once.

Aunque el combate más eficiente de los británicos, es el realizado por la infantería de los Recon.

Although the most efficient combat of the British, is the one carried out by the infantry of the Recon.

El final de la partida fue por terminar el tiempo, más que los turnos.

Aunque no estaba nada decidido, ya que ambas partes teníamos la misma cantidad de edificios tomados, los británicos eran los que estaban llevando la peor parte, ya que habíamos perdido más unidades blindadas de los alemanes.

The end of the game was to finish the time, more than the turns.

Although nothing was decided, since both sides had the same amount of buildings taken, the British were the ones carrying the worst part, since we had lost more armored units than the Germans.

Una buena tarde de partida, risas y en buena compañía.
