Shako II - Defense of the population

 

El avance francés es inexorable durante el verano de 1812.

Por ello el Zar Alejandro I decide enviar sus tropas a defender una población que se encuentra cercana a un cruce. Esta población es importante para los franceses por un doble motivo.

Por un lado domina el cruce, necesario para el avance de sus tropas hacia Moscú,  y el otro factor a tener en cuenta es que los franceses necesitan tener una población para hacer de base de operaciones, ya que un anterior puesto está demasiado lejos para poder decidir mover tropas.

 

The French advance is inexorable during the summer of 1812.

That is why Tsar Alexander I decides to send his troops to defend a town that is close to a crossroads. This town is important to the French for two reasons.

On the one hand, the crossing dominates, necessary for the advance of their troops towards Moscow, and the other factor to take into account is that the French need to have a population to act as a base of operations, since a previous post is too far away to be able to decide to move troops.

 

La batalla empieza con el despliegue ruso alrededor de la población, y los franceses despliegan de forma un tanto precipitada, ya que estaban en columna de marcha hacia la población que, según sus informaciones, no había tropas rusas en los alrededores.

 

The battle begins with the Russian deployment around the town, and the French deploy in a somewhat hasty manner, since they were in a column of march towards the town that, according to their information, there were no Russian troops in the surroundings.

La Brigada principal de las tropas rusas se despliegan frente a la entrada de la población apoyada por una batería media (Foot Batery), una pequeño brigada  a la izquierda, en posible previsión de un intento de flanquearles, apoyada por una batería pesada (Heavy Battery), mientas que la brigada de caballería se encuentra en una posición algo más retrasada, para poder maniobrar allí donde  se necesite romper a las tropas francesas.

Estando las unidades rusas debilitadas, el avance francés no se hace esperar, por lo que los rusos van a su encuentro (“que hace ese General!! Sus órdenes eran las de aguantar el ataque francés y no moverse de su posición”)

Con la infantería francesa llegando al cruce, El regimiento de Dragones rusos carga en columna sobre las unidades francesas, cogiéndolas desprevenidas.

Pero el batallón francés que recibe el embiste de la caballería rusa, consiguen formar en cuadro, aunque de forma precipitada.

El según regimiento de caballería Rusa, los Húsares, van detrás para apoyar a los Dragones.

Una buena partida, aunque sin finalizar, como nos pasa casi siempre, que nos ha enseñado como cargar con la caballería, como formar cuadro y como apoyar la defensa del cuadro con la infantería cercana, y como recolocar la infantería para que la artillería sólo alcance a un único regimiento.

Buen compañía con gente que pasó a saludar y a ver como se desarrolla el juego de Shakó II y bastantes risas, motivos por los que solemos no terminar las partidas.

Una buena tarde con escusa de na buena partida es suficiente para reunirnos uno 5 compañeros de batallas para ver, reír y, sobre todo, hablar y comentar proyectos actuales, cercanos y futuros.

DBMM Initiation Game

 

Una nueva partida de DBMM, pero en esta ocasión de iniciación al jugador con el ejército Medieval Feudal.

Una partida que más que ganar (quien fuese) lo interesante era hacer cosas normales u alocadas para ver como se comportan las tropas medievales en partida.

Se realiza un despliegue de terreno según indicaciones del reglamento.

Los medievales despliegan en dos líneas de batalla, con su caballería ligera en su lateral derecho, para poder flanquear a mis tropas.

Por mi parte, con los Íberos, realizo un despliegue algo más convencional, pero colocando en retaguardia a la caballería, para poder cubrir el flanqueo de los medievales, que en el momento del despliegue no se sabía si vendría por la derecha o por la izquierda.

El final de la partida fue en varios turnos de combates, mejor dicho, escaramuzas, entre la caballería ligera medieval y nuestros auxilias, ya que otras tropas no consiguieron llegar. Es lo que tiene explicar que vamos haciendo y las posibilidades que tiene su ejército para contra el nuestro.

Su caballería ligera tobo muy malas tiradas y no consiguió eliminar a ningún auxilia, en especial gracias a que son Superior. Pero mis auxilias eliminador dos unidades de su ligera, uno por que me dejó una unidad mía con dos apoyos contra su caballería, y la otra porque fue flanqueada por mi caballería ligera.

El carro en llamas llegó hasta los piqueros, ganando ese primer encuentro (y no ganó más, ya que debimos terminar la partida en ese momento). La opinión de Enric fue que es un juego con muchas posibilidades gracias a la maniobrabilidad, y consideró terrible mi carro ardiendo.

Después de explicarle las posibles formas de eliminarlo, se dio cuenta que si el contrario trae carros ardiendo, sus psilois podían haber intepenetrado entre sus lanceros sin problema, colocándolos delante. Pero en el caso actual, podría haber atacado con cualquier miniatura por la retaguardia del carro, con lo que se eliminaba de forma automática sin tan siquiera tirar un solo dado.

En definitiva, una buena tarde en compañía de amigos, ya unos pocos fueron los que se acercaron a saludar, ver la partida o aprender también.

Esta es la segunda partida de Battletech que juego este año, habiendo dejado de hacerlo desde hace 26 años.

Y es un auténtico gustazo de recordar casi todas las reglas.

 

En esta ocasión se han realizado pocas fotografías, ya que la partida me absorbió tanto y me recordó viejos tiempos (ni mejores ni peores), a parte de haberme dejado la cámara en casa, que no pude hacer fotos, más que al final de la partida.

 

En esta primera imagen se puede ver como estaban los combates, después de haber eliminado un par de mech del contrario y que este me eliminara uno de los nuestros.

 

This is the second Battletech game I've played this year, having stopped for 26 years.

In this first image you can see how the fighting was, after having eliminated a couple of the opponent's mech and that he eliminated one of ours.

El combate en el bosque, Mi ligero combatiendo contra un medio del enemigo, me salió muy bien librado (sin perder ni un punto de blindaje), en especial porque estuvo apoyado por un medio a cierta distancia. El combate llevo rato, pero no estaba nada decidido al momento de finalizar.

En el centro de la batalla, mi Wolvering (un entrañable mech que había usado con profusión hace muchos años y sigo recordando las trastadas que puedo hacer con él), lucho en la cumbre de un peñasco.

De entrada el slalto que realicé, lo terminé con una “muerte desde el cielo” (ooh! Mi querido ataque favorito con el Wolvering),  que sailio bien; o sea, el contrario cae de la roca, se “escogorcia“ y mi mech  se posa suavemente sobre la roca. Y para rematar el asunto, disparo todo lo habido y por haber contra el desvalido enemigo, “espanzurrado” al pie de la roca. Fin de la existencia del mech enemigo.

Como nueva toma de contacto, ha sido muy interesante.

Tan interesante que ahora tengo que hacerme con un par de lanzas, tanto de de la esfera interior, como de algún clan (o varios, ya veré).

 

Un Wargame con muchas opciones de tácticas durante el combate, ya que cada mech es especializado en algo diferente al resto de mech, por lo que la elección de cada máquina y de la lanza, dependiendo de contra quien combatas, hará que las tácticas en el campo de batalla, varíen de una partida a otra.

 

Un juego que me deje de jugar porque no encontraba con quien jugar, y porque hace 25 años las minis eran caras. Hoy, hasta con una simple impresora 3D puedes tener una lanza muy económica.

Chaos Vs High Elves

 

Mi primera toma de contacto “seria” con el reglamento AoF (Ages of Fantasy), para batallas.

 

My first “serious” contact with the AoF (Ages of Fantasy) regulations, for battles.

 

La disposición del escenario es uno aleatorio sacado de los escenarios del reglamento, denominado “Emboscada”, que consiste en que las tropas élficas despliegan en marcha por un camino, que va en diagonal, de lado a lado del tablero de juego, mientras que el caos surge de ambos lados del camino y ataca en emboscada.

 

The layout of the scenario is a random one taken from the regulation scenarios, called “Ambush”, which consists of the elven troops deploying on a path, which goes diagonally, from side to side of the game board, while the Chaos arises from both sides of the road and attacks in ambush.

Nada más empezar la partida, las bestias de los elfos que iban en la cabeza de la marcha, se lanzaron sobre las propias del caos.

El dragón élfico de principio de la columna de marcha, se destraba en el combate con el demonio del caos y opta por atacar a los demonios menores, para que dejen de eliminar a las tropas que le apoyan en el combate.

Durante las refriegas, el centro de la mesa de juego, queda vacía de tropas de ambos bandos.

Y por fin queda libre de cambiar de objetivo.

El fénix de hielo al final sucumbe ante el ataque del jefe del caos y las tropas que lo respaldan, pero a costa de grandes bajas, es un elemento duro de roer.

Cuando al principio de la partida parecía que los Altos Elfos tenían muy controlada la partida, al final de la partida, entre las estrategias y los dados, el caos ha conseguido tener relativamente pocas bajas, en comparación de su contrincante, que le ha quedado soldados y algún mando suelto y esparcidos por el campo de batalla, sin poder darse apoyo entre ellos.

 

When at the beginning of the game it seemed that the High Elves had very controlled the game, at the end of the game, between the strategies and the dice, the chaos has managed to have relatively few casualties, compared to its opponent, who has been soldiers and some loose command and scattered on the battlefield, without being able to support each other.

Debo decir que a mi, personalmente, no me atraes los juegos de Fantasy… bueno, no me atraían, ya que supongo no había reglamento que me terminara de gustar o encajar en mi forma de jugar. En especial de de GW, que siempre lo he considerado muy descompensado.

En estos momentos he rescatado mis Altos Elfos, los Orcos/goblins y tropas humanas (tanto para fantasy como para histórico). Tanto para las batallas de grandes tropas como este informe de batalla, como para el de escaramuzas, que es el mismo dirigido a pocas unidades (unas 10 por bando), con alguna variación específica para esas pequeñas batallas.

Ya os iré informando tal como vaya avanzando las partidas de fantasy.

I must say that I, personally, do not like Fantasy games ... well, I was not attracted to them, since I suppose there were no rules that I liked or fit my way of playing. Especially from GW, who I have always considered very unbalanced.

At the moment I have rescued my High Elves, Orcs / goblins and human troops (for both fantasy and historical). Both for the battles of large troops such as this battle report, as for the skirmish report, which is the same aimed at a few units (about 10 per side), with some specific variation for those small battles.
