[Fantasy] Caos Vs Altos Elfos

Chaos Vs High Elves

 

Mi primera toma de contacto “seria” con el reglamento AoF (Ages of Fantasy), para batallas.

 

My first “serious” contact with the AoF (Ages of Fantasy) regulations, for battles.

 

La disposición del escenario es uno aleatorio sacado de los escenarios del reglamento, denominado “Emboscada”, que consiste en que las tropas élficas despliegan en marcha por un camino, que va en diagonal, de lado a lado del tablero de juego, mientras que el caos surge de ambos lados del camino y ataca en emboscada.

 

The layout of the scenario is a random one taken from the regulation scenarios, called “Ambush”, which consists of the elven troops deploying on a path, which goes diagonally, from side to side of the game board, while the Chaos arises from both sides of the road and attacks in ambush.

Nada más empezar la partida, las bestias de los elfos que iban en la cabeza de la marcha, se lanzaron sobre las propias del caos.

 

As soon as the game started, the beasts of the elves that were at the head of the march, launched themselves on the chaos themselves.

Apoyadas por ambos bandos con tropas a pie, para separar todo lo que estorbaba para esas batallitas.

 

Supported by both sides with troops on foot, to separate everything that was in the way of these battles.

Durante un par de turnos, las tropas de ambos bandos se iban desgastando poco a poco, pero sin perder terreno ninguno de los dos.

 

During a couple of turns, the troops on both sides gradually wore out, but neither of them lost ground.

Por su parte, las tropas del caos de retaguardia, intentaron romper en dos la línea del ejército élfico, mediante una evolvente.

 

For their part, the rearguard chaos troops tried to break the line of the elven army in two, by means of an envelope.

Y lanza su Fénix de hielo sobre el gran jefe del caos.

 

And he throws his Ice Phoenix on the great head of chaos.

En el grupo del caos que ataca la cabecera del convoy élfico, el que llevaba yo, es reforzado por todas las unidades, dejando un mínimo de unidades en mi flanco izquierdo, para intentar contrarrestar la ingente cantidad de tropas que los elfos están trayendo.

 

In the group of chaos that attacks the head of the elven convoy, the one that I was carrying, is reinforced by all the units, leaving a minimum of units on my left flank, to try to counter the huge amount of troops that the elves are bringing.

Estas unidades lanzadas por mi flanco izquierdo, intentan romper la línea de avance élfica, para que esas tropas estén ocupadas con algo no tan crucial.

 

These units launched from my left flank, trying to break the elven line of advance, so that those troops are busy with something not so crucial.

Pero no contaba con los magos élficos, que hacen tambalear mi estrategia.

 

But I did not count on the elven mages, who shake my strategy.

Por la retaguardia de los Altos Elfos, las tropas del caos comandadas por McTavish, hacen más o menos lo mismo.

 

From the rear of the High Elves, the troops of chaos commanded by McTavish, do more or less the same.

Y consiguen que un cierto número de tropas retrocedan y se vayan separando del grupo general.

 

And they get a certain number of troops to retreat and separate from the general group.

En el tercer turno, aparece una unidad del caos que estaba en reserva, y salen en el punto medio del tablero, justo donde más daño pueden hacer en estos momentos.

 

On the third turn, a chaos unit that was in reserve appears, and they emerge at the midpoint of the board, right where they can do the most damage right now.

Y consiguen rodear al mago elfo a caballo.

 

And they manage to surround the elf magician on horseback.

Y esto es lo que el caos denomina “una paliza Skin”, muchas unidades contra unas pocas, para eliminarlas del primer golpe.

 

And this is what chaos calls "a beating Skin", many units against a few, to eliminate them at the first blow.

El ave fénix de los Altos Elfos, después de no conseguir nada contra el comandante del caos, consigue destrabarse del combate y se lanza contra unas unidades propias, por error (esa tirada de dados…). A caos cualquier error ya nos va muy bien.

 

The phoenix of the High Elves, after failing to achieve anything against the chaos commander, manages to disengage from combat and throws himself against his own units, by mistake (that roll of the dice…). Chaos any mistake is going very well for us.

El dragón élfico de principio de la columna de marcha, se destraba en el combate con el demonio del caos y opta por atacar a los demonios menores, para que dejen de eliminar a las tropas que le apoyan en el combate.

 

The elven dragon at the beginning of the marching column, unleashes himself in combat with the demon of chaos and chooses to attack the lesser demons, so that they stop eliminating the troops that support him in combat.

Durante las refriegas, el centro de la mesa de juego, queda vacía de tropas de ambos bandos.

 

During the skirmishes, the center of the game table is emptied of troops from both armies.

Tras el error del Fénix de hielo, un grupo de diablos van detrás para rematar la faena.

 

After the error of the Ice Phoenix, a group of devils go behind to finish the job.

El dragón de los elfos, tiene más problemas de los que se pensaba, para eliminar a los diablos del principio de la columna de marcha, por lo que decide enviar refuerzos para terminar pronto la eliminación.

 

The dragon of the elves, has more problems than previously thought, to eliminate the devils at the beginning of the march column, so he decides to send reinforcements to finish the elimination soon.

Cosa que al final consiguen.

 

Which in the end they get.

Las tropas del caos de la retaguardia, consiguen eliminar a las tropas de cola de la columna élfica.

 

The chaos troops from the rear, manage to eliminate the tail troops of the elven column.

A los demonios  que entran por detrás a la columna élfica, se le añaden tropas del caos que en ese momento están ociosas.

 

To the demons that enter the elven column from behind, there are added troops of chaos that are currently idle.

Y consiguen deshacerse de un buen número de orejas picudas.

 

And they get rid of quite a few pointy ears.

Por su parte, el gran devastador del caos, consigue deshacerse del dragón y de los yelmos plateados, que tanto rato le ha estado entorpeciendo en su objetivo.

 

For his part, the great devastator of chaos, manages to get rid of the dragon and the silver helmets, which have been hindering him in his goal for so long.

Y por fin queda libre de cambiar de objetivo.

 

And finally he is free to change his objective.

El fénix de hielo al final sucumbe ante el ataque del jefe del caos y las tropas que lo respaldan, pero a costa de grandes bajas, es un elemento duro de roer.

 

The Ice Phoenix ultimately succumbs to the onslaught of the Chaos Chief and the troops behind him, but at the cost of heavy casualties, he's a tough nut to crack.

El grupo “skin” va dando palizas a todos los que quedan sueltos por el campo de batalla.

 

The group "skin" is beating all those who are loose on the battlefield.

Cuando al principio de la partida parecía que los Altos Elfos tenían muy controlada la partida, al final de la partida, entre las estrategias y los dados, el caos ha conseguido tener relativamente pocas bajas, en comparación de su contrincante, que le ha quedado soldados y algún mando suelto y esparcidos por el campo de batalla, sin poder darse apoyo entre ellos.

 

When at the beginning of the game it seemed that the High Elves had very controlled the game, at the end of the game, between the strategies and the dice, the chaos has managed to have relatively few casualties, compared to its opponent, who has been soldiers and some loose command and scattered on the battlefield, without being able to support each other.

 

Una buena tarde de risas y contacto con este reglamento.

Debo decir que a mi, personalmente, no me atraes los juegos de Fantasy… bueno, no me atraían, ya que supongo no había reglamento que me terminara de gustar o encajar en mi forma de jugar. En especial de de GW, que siempre lo he considerado muy descompensado.

En estos momentos he rescatado mis Altos Elfos, los Orcos/goblins y tropas humanas (tanto para fantasy como para histórico). Tanto para las batallas de grandes tropas como este informe de batalla, como para el de escaramuzas, que es el mismo dirigido a pocas unidades (unas 10 por bando), con alguna variación específica para esas pequeñas batallas.

Ya os iré informando tal como vaya avanzando las partidas de fantasy.

 

A good afternoon of laughter and contact with these regulations.

I must say that I, personally, do not like Fantasy games ... well, I was not attracted to them, since I suppose there were no rules that I liked or fit my way of playing. Especially from GW, who I have always considered very unbalanced.

At the moment I have rescued my High Elves, Orcs / goblins and human troops (for both fantasy and historical). Both for the battles of large troops such as this battle report, as for the skirmish report, which is the same aimed at a few units (about 10 per side), with some specific variation for those small battles.

I will inform you as the fantasy games progress.
